Bujo with Me: January 2020

Hi friends,

Holy Cow! We are now in the 2020s! I can’t even believe it, I still think the 1980s were 20 years ago.  While I absolutely hate resolutions and much prefer to make plans (because lets face it, changed plans sounds way better than failed resolutions), I have committed to trying new techniques or styles for each month’s spread this year.

For January I took some inspiration from the Tombow USA instagram page where I saw an interesting way to use the Dual Brush pens and a plastic bag to create a unique watercolor look.  I liked that it reminded me of some of the ice painting projects my son’s daycare does and what better way to tie into our wintery/icy theme! I will admit it did not come out exactly like the Tombow instagram video but I’m still happy I tried it and definitely will play around with some other ways to use this technique in some of my weekly spreads this month.

Below are my monthly spreads for January as well as my weekly spread for the first full week. Tag me in your recreations on social media and comment below with some of your favorite spread ideas (maybe I’ll incorporate them into future themes!)
